20% of UK mortgage payers are considering switching providers

Around 20% of British mortgage payers are considering changing their mortgage according The Mortgage Market Survey, a report from Martin Hamblin Gfk.
The top three reasons for looking at alternative mortgages were given as lower interest rates, more flexibility, and changing to a fixed or capped rate.
The report also showed that lenders should make more effort to retain their customers, with only 26% of those considering a change saying they would definitely stay with their current mortgage supplier.
