FSA Warns Over Endowment Complaints Handling
The Financial Services Authority issues a warning over endowment complaints-handling procedures
5th January 2005
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has issued a new warning to endowment policy providers over the way complaints are being handled.
The complaint procedure is that a customer with a complaint must pursue the issue with the company that sold them the policy, and if they aren't satisfied then they can take the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The number of complaints taken further is rising fast, and the FSA has warned that endowment firms should not be tempted to save money by offloading complaints straight to the ombudsman.
