1 in 3 Interested in Foreign Property Ownership

Survey shows that 29% of Britons are interested in buying property abroad

A survey by the Halifax suggests that a third of Britons are interested in buying overseas property, with America and Australia tieing at 9% each as the most popular destination.

Within Europe, Spain was the most desirable location with 6% saying they would like to move there.

The survey was conducted on behalf of Banco Halifax Hispania, the Spanish arm of the Halifax, which offers a range of banking services in Spain and also has a UK office dedicated to helping UK residents by property there.
