Average House Prices Break Through £100k Nationwide

Latest Halifax survey shows that the average house price is now more than £100k in every county in the UK

Average house prices have broken through the £100k point in every county in the UK, according to the Halifax House Price Survey.

The county with the lowest average price, County Tyrone, had an average price a shade under £103k. Average prices in the south remain much higher, with the highest, Surrey, having £345k.

The north / south divide is however closing, with the top twenty fastest rising counties being outside the south.
