Child Trust Funds
The new Child Trust Fund (CTF) accounts - also known as baby bonds - are a government-led way of encouraging savings for children.
Every child born after September 2002 will receive a voucher worth at least £250, which needs to be invested in a special fund, like the ones provided by the companies in this section.
The investment, and any top-up investments you add, will be locked in until the child reaches 18, when the investment will mature to provide a lump cash sum that can be used for any purpose.
