Virgin Money Launches Insurance Range
Virgin Money releases home, travel, car and pet insurance products
12th May 2004
Virgin Money, the financial division of Richard Branson's Virgin Group, has launched a range of insurance products including home, car, pet and travel insurance.
As well as offering discounts if you take out more than one kind of insurance with the company, Virgin has decided not to follow the common practice of charging interest on the premiums for customers who pay monthly rather than yearly. Branson said:
'If you pay for your car and home insurance in monthly instalments the chances are you are paying more than you need to for your cover. Interest charges on insurance premiums paid by direct debit are costing consumers dear. We won't be charging a penny more for customers that enjoy the convenience of paying monthly.'
