Insurer reveals the levels of demutualisation windfalls

Insurer Standard Life has announced the levels of its windfall payments should its plans to demutualise be approved by the society's members.

Around a half of the mutual's policyholders would get a windfall payment of £1,000 or more, with the remainder being paid between £500 amd £1,000.

Standard Life needs a 75% yes vote to approve its flotation plan, and is sending out information packs to its 2.4m members urging them to vote 'yes' before the deadline of May 28th this year.
