Halifax Pet Insurance has been rated '5 star' by independent insurance researchers and raters, and with cover starting from £3.50 a month for cats or £4.50 a month for dogs, you get a 5 star policy without 5 star prices.
Buy online for a 5% discount, and if you're taking out policies for more than one pet, you'll get a 10% discount on each.
Cover can start when your pet is eight weeks old, and there's no upper age limit for vets fees insurance.
Standard cover is up to £1,000 per condition or treatment, or choose extra cover up to £6,000.
Unlike with many insurers, you can pay monthly by direct debit without paying extra in interest - your premium is simply split into 12 monthly payments.
