New Hi-tech Insurance Companies
Swiftcover and Text2Insure both launched with unique hi-tech claims to fame

Two new companies have entered the general insurance marketplace, both claiming that their respective hi-tech approaches will revolutionise the UK insurance industry.
The first, Swiftcover, says that it is the first purely online insurance provider, with no call centres in sight. It will back up this feature with an advertising campaign poking fun at call centres. Swiftcover will initially offer car insurance policies, with online quotes available in less than 60 seconds.
The other company, Text2Insure, is to offer travel insurance policies bought via mobile phone texting, with plans to expand into other areas of general insurance if successful.
