Co-operative Financial Services Buck Call Centre Trend

New CFS call centre to be in UK, against growing trend of overseas outsourcing

6th February 2004

Financial services group CFS is to buck the recent trend for offshoring call centre operations by announcing 500 new jobs in its call centres in the north of England.

CFS, the brand including both the Co-op Bank and Co-operative Insurance Services (CIS), says that their level of customer service demands that when a customer calls them they should be "dealing with one of our own staff, trained and managed by us and with a dedicated focus on our customers' needs and our products and services".

The jobs will be created in CFS offices in Manchester, Stockport and Skelmersdale.
