Car insurance claimants to take 'lie detector' test
New technology will cut insurance fraud, eSure claims
30th November 2003
Online insurer eSure is to trial 'lie detector' technology in a bid to cut insurance fraud, and to speed up genuine claims.
The Voice Risk Analysis technology measures changes in a persons voice that could be a sign of stress, and will flag up claims with a high suspicion rating for further investigation.
The company insists that the process holds nothing to fear for genuine claimants, and will indeed expedite their claim, while cutting the costs incurred from fraud.
