Aerial photo technology to speed up car insurance claims
New aerial photograph technology could speed up claims and cut fraud
2nd February 2004
Online car insurance company eSure has introduced new aerial photograph technology in an attempt to speed up insurance claims, and cut down on fraudulent claims.
The system allows its staff to view any location in the UK from above, and position virtual cars at specific points, in order to test the accuracy of incident details given in a claim.
The company says that this will greatly increase the speed of claims processing where the decision relies on physical features of the road such as markings, the design of a junction or visibility.
