Third Party Insurance

Third party car insurance is the minimum level of cover that all motorists must take out by law. It will insure against damage you cause to other people's property in the event of a car accident.

Damage or loss to your own car is not covered.

A common extension to this kind of cover is 3rd party fire & theft, which provides slightly more cover, but still falls short of the more expensive fully comprehensive insurance.
