Standard Rate

The standard rate of a credit card, mortgage or other finance is the normal rate of interest you'll pay (APR).

Many credit cards offer an introductory rate for the first six months, usually 0%, and once this introductory period is over you'll be charged interest at the issuer's standard rate.
