Portfolio
Your Portfolio is simply the term used to describe the range of investments you have.
It is desirable to have a 'balanced' portfolio - that is, one that includes investments in a range of areas such as a variety of stocks and shares in different markets, plus property, savings and assets - to spread the risk of any potential losses. If all your investment is in a single area, poor performance in that area can wipe out your entire investment.
Many people like to manage their own portfolio, but for the best returns and lowest risk using a professional investment adviser or manager is a good idea.
