Overpayments

Overpayments are a feature of flexible mortgages, where you can pay more than the usual repayment in order to reduce your debt and therefore minimise interest charges.

Most mortgages that allow overpayment have limits to how much you can overpay - often around 10% of the balance per year.

The growing range of offset mortgages generally allow unlimited overpayment.
