Income Tax
Income Tax is a tax levied on personal earnings or other income not covered by capital gains tax, inheritance tax or other specific tax.
A common way of collecting income tax is PAYE (Pay As You Earn) where tax is deducted directly from your wages, or you may need to complete a tax return under the self assessment system.
The government agency responsible for the calculation and collection of income tax is the Inland Revenue.
