Home Insurance
Home Insurance is a general term for the area of insurance covering both buildings and contents insurance for your home.
With Buildings Insurance, it is the actual structure and fittings of your home that is covered against damage, while contents insurance covers your personal possessions.
Contents insurance is a good idea if you have valuable possessions, as you would be covered against burglary, fire, accidental damage and more, while Buildings Insurance is a condition required by almost every mortgage company before they will lend on a home.
For those in rented accommodation, buildings insurance is the responsibility of the landlord, but contents insurance is your own.
