FSA

The FSA, or Financial Services Authority, is a non-governmental body that regulates the finance industry in the UK.

It is funded by companies in the financial services industry and was given statutory powers under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

The FSA's board is appointed by the Treasury and are responsible for broad policy. For more info see www.fsa.gov.uk
