Disposable Credit Card
A disposable credit card is a special kind of credit card that can only be used once. This single use feature means that it is more secure than a standard card - if someone manages to get hold of the number, they probably won't be able to use it to commit fraud as it will already have been used once and then cancelled.
For this reason it is a popular system to use for online or telephone shopping where security is a concern for many card users.
It is not a physical card, but an extra number generated for a single transacton and linked to your main card account. Unused numbers will usually expire after a set period for added safety.
