Debit Card

A Debit Card operates in a similar way to a credit card, with the important difference that you can only spend money that is already in your bank account.

Instead of having a credit limit that the card issuer will allow you borrow up to, a debit card is simply a way of electronically paying for purchases with the funds in your bank.

The most well-known UK debit cards are Switch and Visa Electron.
