Student Debt Less of a Worry than Cash Flow
New research shows day to day finances more stressful than long term student debt

Research questioning 268 students concludes that day to day finances are much more stressful than the size of student debt.
The study, conducted by Dr Adrian Scott of the University of Bath, found that while the total amount of debt was not a factor in stress, anxiety and depression amongst students, the problems of surviving day to day on inadequate funds was a major factor.
The problem was exacerbated by students not having received realistic money management education prior to starting university, and short term views of spending too much at the start of term without leaving a proper budget for later on.
