British Gas Loses 1m Customers

Price rises cause customers to leave British Gas in droves

Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, has revealed that the energy supplier has lost nearly a million customers over the last 12 months.

Rises in the UK wholesale gas prices have led to bigger bills for all energy users, but consumers seem to have taken particular umbrage to British Gas's two price hikes this year.
