12th April 2006
Paypal, the online money transfer and payment service, has announced it is to expand into the UK financial services market by launching a credit card in conjunction with GE Capital.
The card is said to offer a standard APR of 12.9%, and to come with an introductory balance transfer offer of 0% for 6 months.
A similar card from Paypal is already available in the USA, and 100,000 UK Paypal customers will be offered the card next month, before it becomes more widely available.
The company says that it has plans to offer a wider range of personal finance products in the future.
