Egg Launches New Blue Card
Beat post-shopping blues with the new Blue Egg Card
4th June 2004
Holders of the popular Egg Visa Card can now apply for Egg's new Blue Mastercard.
As well as featuring 5 months interest free credit on purchases, the new card pays 0.5% cashback on all purchases, plus the usual 'up to 10% at selected retailers' offered by the green card. The standard rate of both cards is the same, at 13.9%.
The blue card will be attractive to customers who spend regularly on their Egg Card, and Mark Nancarrow, Egg's CEO said:
'Our new blue Egg Card now increases the great value our credit cards offer, together they allow our customers to tailor their usage so that they best fit their financial lifestyle. The combination of blue Egg Card's introductory purchase rate and 0.5% cashback will reward customers who prefer to spend using a credit card.'
Existing Egg customers can apply online at www.egg.com
