New Prepaid Card Range from Clydesdale
Clydesdale Bank are to launch a range of prepaid Mastercard debit cards in partnership with PrePay Technologies Ltd

Clydesdale Bank plc have joined forces with PrePay Technologies Ltd to launch a new range of prepaid debit cards aimed at a variety of markets and applications.
As Clydesdale is a member of the Mastercard consortium the new cards will carry the Mastercard Maestro brand, allowing them to be used at over a million cash machines worldwide, as well as at over 9 million retail outlets and restaurants.
The full range is to be launched imminently, but the first product is the Western Union Travel Cash Card, a prepaid reloadable card aimed at replacing travellers cheques, and available in Sterling, Euro and US DOllar denominations.
The market for prepaid or 'stored value' cards in the United States has shown strong growth over the last decade, and it's predicted by many analysts that prepaid cards in Europe are likelyto follow suit.
