Credit Card Advice Site Launched

Choosingandusing.com launched by the credit card industry

24th July 2005

The credit card industry has launched a new web site giving advice on choosing and using credit cards. The site was created by Apacs, the body that represents all major UK card issuers, is a simple guide to the main features of credit cards, what happens when you apply, how to compare cards, and what to do if you get into trouble with debt.

The site doesn't compare specific cards, or give details on any individual credit card issuer, so it can't be used directly to choose a card, but aims to demystify the whole area.

Apacs says that there are now over 1500 different cards available to UK residents, making Britain one of the most competitive markets in the world, with a huge variety of different deals and offers to tempt customers into choosing a specific card.
