Barclaycard To Drop 0% 'For Life' Offer
The much-criticised Barclaycard offer will be withdrawn
4th May 2004
Credit card company Barclaycard intends to withdraw its '0% For Life' promotion from June onwards.
The offer was widely criticised when it was released last year, and advertising material was modified after the Office of Fair Trading ruled it to be 'misleading'.
Details of a replacement offer are sketchy, but it is likely to involve a 12 month interest free period for purchases and balance transfers, although spending during this period would not be eligible for Nectar Points, the multi-company rewards scheme that Barclaycard is part of.
