More Controversy Over Barclaycard Advertising
New credit card advertising campaign described as 'corporate cynicism at its worst'

Credit card company Barclaycard is once again under fire over its advertising campaigns. Recently criticised by the Office of Fair Trading for its 'misleading' marketing, the Consumers' Association says that the company's new advertising material still doesn't make it clear that costs are involved in their 'free' 0% for life offer.
Consumers' Association spokesman Ashley Sharpe called the marketing 'corporate cynicism at its worst', while Barclaycard responded that they developed the advertising in consultation with the OFT and fully stand by its contents.
