More Credit Cards for People with Bad Credit

Report suggests that it may become easier for people with bad credit ratings to be approved for a credit card, as issuers look to develop market

Financial services group Price Waterhouse Coopers suggests in a new report that the market in credit cards for people with poor credit ratings is under-exploited in the UK, and could be set to grow dramatically over the next few years.

Around 8 million UK adults are classed as having a poor or bad credit rating, a group that have traditionally found it difficult to be approved for a credit card - or to get a decent interest rate if they are approved.

The report suggests that this market could be an area of growth for the industry, which should result in better deals available for people with less-than-perfect credit ratings.
