American Express Launches Nectar Card
Amex bucks the trend by introducing a credit card with a rewards program

Credit card issuer American Express have released a new credit card featuring the Nectar rewards program. Users of the card will collect 1 Nectar point for each pound they spend on purchases using the card, which doubles up to 2 points per pound if the card is used at a retailer participating in the Nectar scheme.
Combine these 2 points with the 2 you'd earn anyway by showing your Nectar card, and the total is 4 points per pound, a considerable increase for avid collectors.
The new card will be welcome to Nectar users unhappy that cards such as Barclaycard and Sainsbury's have recently dropped the rewards scheme from their card offerings.
Other features include a low balance transfer rate for life, and the card is available in both personal and business varieties.
