UK Bank Opens Branch In Kabul

Opening a new branch in Kabul, Standard Charter also provide the country's first ATM

UK banking company Standard Charter have opened a bank branch in Afghanistan, and unveiled Afghanistan's first ATM machine.

The bank, which specialises in emerging markets, has hailed the move as helping 'open the country up' to travellers. Standard Charter are the first international bank to enter the country since the fall of the Taliban regime.
