Sainsbury's Launches SaveBack

'Revolutionary' new service at stores applies cashback concept to savings

12th October 2004

Sainsbury's Bank has today launched a new service that it claims will make savings easier and more convenient than ever before.

SaveBack builds on the familiar cashback concept - when paying for your shopping by debit card, you can choose to get cash added to your bill as part of the transaction. SaveBack allows you to add to your savings account in the same way.

SaveBack is only available to holders of the Sainsbury's Instant Access Saver account, and is expected to be available at every Sainsbury's checkout by April 2005.
