Overseas Call Centres Overwhelmingly Unpopular

An Alliance and Leicester survey has revealed that only 5% of customers would be happy

A survey by Alliance and Leicester has confirmed that the growing trend of outsourcing customer services to overseas call centres is overwhelmingly unpopular.

The survey, conducted by YouGov, showed that 87% of people would be unhappy if their bank used an overseas call centre, with concerns about the threat to British jobs and language difficulties being the most common reasons.

Older people were more concerned than younger, and women more than men.
