Current Accounts

Most traditional current accounts pay little or no interest on your balance, but a new breed of online accounts pay a rate of interest that beats many dedicated savings accounts!

A top interest rate doesn't necessarily make for the best account though. Check to see how much the overdraft rate is if you're likely to need it, along with any charges they'll make for going overdrawn, and make sure that you find out if there are any other day to day charges that might outweigh the benefits of a higher interest rate.

Some of the accounts below have restrictions such as paying a minimum amount in every month, but not all - check our reviews to see which account is best for you.
