Small Business Finds Online Banking Lacking

Small business survey criticise online banking services, with many citing over-elaborate design at the expense of functionality

A poll of 500 small businesses has revealed that 61% of respondents described their banks' online business banking facilities to be 'poor' or 'very poor'.

The research, by finance intermediary Xbridge, was particularly painful reading for Bank of Scotland and Lloyds TSB, with nearly 75% unhappy with their facilities.

The report was kinder to Abbey, with over half its customers satisfied.

The main criticisms levelled at the banking sites centred around over-elaborate site design at the expense of day-to-day functionality.
