350 Jobs to Go at Alliance and Leicester

350 positions to go at A&L's Bootle ofice

Alliance and Leicester have announced that 350 jobs will be lost at its Merseyside office as part of an ongoing drive to cut costs.

The losses will hit staff at A&L's Bootle office, and will be achieved through a voluntary redundancy program.

Although the cost of the program will be around £20m to £25m, the bank says that it will results in long term annual savings of £10m.

Currently, the bank employs 8,500 staff with 2,000 of them based at Bootle.
