Research suggests that there will be 130,000 cases of identity fraud in 2004

Research published by Capital One predicts that there will be 130,000 cases of identity fraud in 2004, which works out at around one every 4 minutes.
Identity theft is a growing problem in the UK with the cost totalling £1.3bn a year, and as awareness of the problem is raised, about a third of people now view it as a real concern.
