New Guide to Credit Monitoring
Apacs releases a new simple guide to keeping track of your credit rating
8th August 2006
Payment clearing association Apacs has launched a new guide to keeping up to date with your credit rating, with advice on how to check your credit records and keep your rating healthy.
Apacs recommends that everyone checks their credit files at least once a year to ensure no false information has been entered on to it, either by accident or through identity fraud. It's estimated however that only 5% of people have ever asked for their report, and 20% of us say we have no idea whether our credit rating is good or bad.
The guide weighs in at only 3 pages and so isn't too taxing to read, and can be obtained for free at Apacs' consumer site www.choosingandusing.co.uk (direct link below)
